Can't authorize with PixelPipe?
I try to authorize with pixelpipe but after having said it's OK for PictureSync to access pixelpipe I get an error message that says "Can't get item 1 of "". (-1728)" when I click the button to continue.

Inappropriate?Could you download the debug script, and when you get the error you mention, run it choosing 'grab log' then send me the log it creates to investigate further.
-
Inappropriate?Unfortunately I'm running as a non-priv user so the script didn't work. But I did the same command manually and ended up with
Jan 27 11:47:49 infinitum PictureSync[2331]: "Can’t get element of \"Error 5, Description: (null), Line: 1, Column: 1\"."
The log has probably been rotated since the last time I used PictureSync which explains why there was only one line. -
Inappropriate?Okay, could you in that case navigate to the folder below and send me (feedback AT picturesync.net) hcUP_resp.html from it after attempting to connect in PictureSync.
In the Finder>Go>Go to folder... and type /private/var/folders/ (a hidden folder) then look inside some other folders like (10.5, or are you on 10.4?) 28/28--xyg2435bhj5435b43/-Tmp-/ and you should see it!
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Done

Inappropriate?I just tried again with version 1.8r16 and there is no difference. I deleted everything (all PS files) and reinstalled, registered PS, and tried to login to PixelPipe but get the same error.

Inappropriate?Hi Jan, a long-shot, but according to my version history I've not yet released a fix for case-sensitive filesystems, are you running on one? If so I can send a test build, but if that were the case no service would work though, are any others? (Sorry, I don't seem to have a record of your prior emails/logs!)
I just tested adding Pixelpipe on a fresh privilege-restricted guest account under 10.5.6 and didn't run into any issues whatsoever. Which OS are you running? Perhaps you could save and send the output from System Profiler and that file mentioned above again?! SIMBL and input manager hacks have historically caused issues. Then if I can't make further progress I'll send a plugin for step-by-step debugging you could run to help isolate the cause. -
No I'm running a standard 10.5.6 installation. I don't think it matters but I used FF for the authorization, the input manager I know if is the one that belongs to 1password (I checked the ~/library/input managers and /library/input managers directories and it's only 1password there). I'll send you the files at the address above.
