1.3 Update shows "Error"
Hi,
After installing the 1.3 update for Ego, all of my Google Analytics sites show "Error" instead of the actual visits. I know the username/password is correct & working because the list of sites populates correctly.
Any ideas? I've already tried removing/reinstalling the app & I've even tried another Analytics account (a friend's). None seem to work.

Okay, we've found the issue. Google has changed a bit of their Auth API, specifically relating to Google for Domains accounts and how they authenticate. The problem is easily solved on our end to accommodate this change, but unfortunately it requires waiting on Apple again.
We submitted version 1.3.1 this afternoon. Hopefully Apple will approve it quickly.
Thanks for your patience.

Worked on this for a while and have definitely locked it down as a Google Auth API issue. I am working with Google right now to solve it. Please bear with us.

Unfortunately, the Google API is VERY finicky about incorrect usernames/passwords. If you had an incorrect one in your Ego install when you upgraded to 1.3, it would lock you out. The lock will release in a few hours. Make sure you go in and delete your Google widgets now, then wait a few hours and set them up again.
I'm fighting with Google right now about this issue (they say it's for increased security) and another issue where they want me to include CAPTCHAs in my app, which I think is ridiculous.
Please bear with me as I try to get these issues with Google resolved.

Inappropriate?Same here. Reinstalling, re-adding the account and restarting the iPhone doesn't help.

Inappropriate?Ditto, same here. Have tried restarting the iPhone but no luck as of yet.

Inappropriate? Is there any other possible reason for this? I didn't get the Error response before upgrading to 1.2, and I still get to choose which site I want to see. Would that suggest I was logged in properly?
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? Thanks for the super prompt reply Garrett and here's hoping they see sense! Keep up the great work on this app! :)
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? This seems to be affecting only a very small number of users, and it's not something I can reproduce. Does anyone want to volunteer to change their password temporarily and give me access to their account so I can try to duplicate and log issues?
If so, please email ego at pinchzoom dot com. -

Inappropriate?I still get the error connecting with my Google Apps account but I granted analytics access to a regular gmail google account and it works perfectly.
I’m happy

Thanks! this works also for me ! -

Inappropriate?Well, it took ~12 days for Apple to approve v1.3. I don't expect them to take any less with v1.3.1.
It must be annoying for the developer to know that customers are frustrated with what they think is the developer's fault (updates taking forever), when, in reality, it's Apple's fault.
I’m frustrated with the App Store approval process.

More annoying than you could imagine. =) -

And Apple managed to take half the time to approve the app, too!

Inappropriate?Installed the 1.3.1 update and my Google Analytics accounts are still not working - it simply shows 'Error', I've tried removing them and re-adding them no avail.
The username/password is correct. It gets the list of available domains in the config.
Garrett, what can I do to help you troubleshoot this? -
Out of curiosity, could you try deleting Ego from your device and reinstalling it? All my tests work on this end and I've heard from someone on Twitter that that solved the issue. Obviously, it's a huge pain, but I'm wondering if it makes a difference. -
Inappropriate? Please reinstall Ego if you're still having issues. This will fix them.
-
Inappropriate?Cheers, that fixed it.
