Recently active topics in Ping.fm tagged with line break

When I send via email (gmail pop account via OSX Mail), neither Blogger nor MySpace will show the line breaks as written. I've tried basic html tags that work in both, but it still shows up with no links or line breaks. Formatting shows up on LJ, but the links don't. Darnit, I'm confused.

How do I format my blogs (headings, bold, italics...) when I submit them through by e-mail?
