Would be nice to ping directly from my flock browser (instead of a blog). This would make life so easy for me.

Well, it's all about SMS, mobile text messenging with Ping. Still a massive market for communication between people, groups, companies etc.

I know you can send Pings via email from phones, and even log on to your optimsed site. But often when you don't have a phone that does not have email or any decent web browsing, being able to send a TextMessage style update via SMS Ping update from your photo to your account could be pretty useful I think.

I don't think you offer this service all ready, if I missed it I apologise.

I personally would use this over my email updates from my phone which I have done, just because I have 100's or free text messages, and even if there was a min cost. it's still easier for my on my Nokia.

That why you have pretty much collared all the available input services, short of send a voicemal message utilising PING own propriety's brand of voice recognition. :)

My Ping.fm Adobe Air Desktop Widget for Mac, Widows and linux. Is finally ready and will be officially released in the next public beta August 14. As a result you need a beta code to be able to get a download of the app... So please go to http://anthonykosednar.com/pingfm/ to put your email on the beta code waiting list. Now this widget features osting to status, micro-blog, blog all from your desktop in addition to pingpic which allows you to ping pictures from your desktop. Here is an example of one of those pings: http://twitter.com/gamers600/statuses... ... please note that pingpic as well as the rest of the app is still being added on to frequently so a lot more features will be added. All my other desktop widgets are doing pretty good too and should be released in closed beta soon...... The only requirement of the widget is that you have adobe air installed on your computer if not then you will be prompted to install it.

* Please note: AT the moment I do not recommend using adobe air on linux as it is still in beta and is still very buggy if you want to use a desktop widget for ping.fm I recommend waiting till one of the future releases of other types of my widgets, like: yahoo desktop widget, Google desktop widget. How about public profiles page? Where ping.fm users can show avatar and links to all of his/her networks where he pings. Then when somebody asks twitter/pownce account you can just give link to public profile so he/she gets links to all of your profiles.

Also bio, avatar, maybe some gatgets and latest pings would be nice.

I use the chat bot quite a bit, and it would be nice if it told you if you posted something more than 140 characters. When I write something more than that, it gets cut off. Can you guys make a character-warning system with the chat bot?

If Ping.fm could ping Utterz that would be terrific!

Can Ping give us an option of scheduled, future-dated Pings, like Tweetlater.com does for Twitter?

I like the new feature to separate micro-blog, blog, and statuses, but why not add a fourth option that allows us to update everything? This would be for the people that aren't as picky about how their posts are formatted.

Another feature would be the option to preview our posts as they would appear on each site. I noticed that when I posted a blog to LiveJournal, MySpace and Blogger that the LiveJournal post looked fine, the MySpace post displayed with no line breaks between each paragraph, and the Blogger post displayed with about six lines between each paragraph.

I'd also enjoy an actual app that I could run from my desktop to update Ping.fm. Something with an editor/spellchecker, etc. The ability to include tags for sites that are applicable (like LiveJournal) would be neat too.
