AIM posting outages today?

The posting via AIM appears to have been broken for a while now. Around 11AM ET I noticed that the Ping bot was offline in my contact list. I tried to reset things by removing my AIM ID and then doing another activation. Now the Ping bot is back online, but when I send my new verification code, I get the following error: "Hmm, I don't recognize your screen name. Visit http://ping.fm/im/ to enable posting messages through aim."
