Inappropriate?I really want a native app as well - and while we're at it also a Mac OSX Widget for my Dashboard :-)
But a native iPhone app would really be awesome and more of a priority for me ( and probably many others! )
I’m confident

uh oh, this website is heavily broken in google chrome. -
Inappropriate? What's wrong with the browser-based app?
I prefer a browser-based app..... One less thing I need to install.... and upgrade....

Speed, primarily. While the Ping.fm web app opens relatively quickly, even over Edge, a native iPhone app would have virtually no load time whatsoever. Who doesn't want faster?
Secondarily, features. There could be many more features easily implemented into a native app, without adding noticeable load time. -

Inappropriate? What about posting via email....? ...from your iPhone....?
Have you tried that?
I think that's REALLY cool because you can do it from the airplane, the subway, etc... NO NEED FOR A SIGNAL... It just cues up to go out with your regular email...... the next time you have a signal. That is cool!

What about location posts? How do you expect to be able to do that via email?
Look... if you won't use an iPhone app for ping, that's fine. But why are you so against it? If you don't want it just don't install it. ;) -
LOL hee hee It's ONE way to do it......
Have you tried using email to post? -
lol hee hee? You don't look 12 years old in your profile photo. -
Inappropriate? In case anybody's still watching...I just submitted "Pingle" to the iPhone App Store. Location updates and photos are supported. Of course there's no telling how long it'll take for the Apple censors to approve it.
You can request an early beta copy by sending your iPhone's UDID to me as described here:

This is great. I look forward to seeing how it works. I submitted my UDID and hope to get a chance to see it before it goes live in the app store. -
Inappropriate?Sounds sweet. Ill wait for them to accept it. One nag, I can see from the screen shot the icons are not transparent. Anyway to make them transparent?
Other than that, FANTASTIC work!
I’m thankful.

Inappropriate?Great, looking forward to seeing the officialk app but have also sent you my UDID in the hope of getting a sneak preview :-)
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Okay, I have a new build of Pingle (v1.02) that should work for everybody who's sent me UDIDs.
