ATOM feed support

I have an atom feed from plazes.com that I would like to read from as input into ping.fm. Ping.fm seems to only want RSS feeds and Plazes only offers ATOM feeds. What can I do to connect these two? Does ping.fm plan on offering ATOM support in the future?
