Be careful using Ping.fm and other cross-posting systems simultaneously
Be careful using Ping.fm when you already have other cross-posting systems set up between your various status social networks. This should've been a no-brainer, I think, but it tripped me up, so maybe it will trip others up as well.
I was having a problem with Ping.fm's "adjust grammar" option. It wasn't putting "said:" at the front of my Facebook status updates. Then I remembered that (long long ago) I had enabled status updates to Facebook via the Facebook Twitter application, so Twitter was updating my Facebook status a split second behind Ping.fm, and was screwing up the grammar. Turned off the Twitter application in Facebook, and—voila!—problem solved.
Hope this is helpful to someone else out there. Cheers!

Inappropriate?I noticed similar issues. Many sites have cross-posting capabilities now but not as all-encompassing as Ping.fm. When I set up my site to indicate when I made a post, I'd end up with four updates on Twitter: Twitter Direct, via MySpace, via Bebo, etc.
I’m silly
