Blogger set up is not working
When I enter my blogger login details I get the following error message:
Could not authenticate your Blogger information.
I have checked and rechecked my details. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Scott.

Inappropriate?Make sure you have confirmed your Blogger account as well have at least one non-private blog to post to. When we poll data from the Blogger API, they limit your account if you have not confirmed your e-mail address, and it will not lost "private" or invite-only blogs.
I hope this helped.
I’m enig

Inappropriate?when you put in your login username are you using the myaccount@gmail.com format - it works for me if I use the email address instead of just the username
-
Inappropriate? As discovered on the other thread, it seems the problem is that I don't have a gmail login but a Google Apps account.
-
Inappropriate?Cool. I will present the issue to their Group as well. Maybe there is an alternative for Google Apps users. I will keep you posted.
Thanks for the feedback.
-
Inappropriate?I have the same issue. I'm a Google apps user and can't connect to my Blogger account from Ping.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?Google Apps accounts do not function on Blogger - so ScottR doesn't know what he's talking about. Blogger requires a Google Account.
-
Inappropriate?Maybe not - just trying to give as much info as I can so that the problem can be resolved.
-
Thank you, Scott, for helping! I know I appreciate it. -
Sorry for making such a crude comment on your post. Even though that is what I did, it wasn't my intention when I was writing it. -
Thanks Eric. cristatunity - no worries, but remember that people often overreact to online comments because there's no body language to read so you do need to be careful. -
Inappropriate?@ScottR - I do think you are incidentally on to a problem that Ping.fm's does have with the use of the Blogger API.
If you have like me--and I suspect you do-- a Google Apps account for your domain (i.e., scott@scottsdomain.com) as well as a Google Account that you obtained through Blogger for the same e-mail address - then you won't be able to use Ping.fm to post content to Blogger with the scott@scottsdomain.com.
So if you're using scott@scottsdomain.com with http://google.com/a/scottsdomain.com as well as with with http://blogger.com - then you indeed have two separate accounts into two separate systems - but the Blogger API is nonetheless confused to some degree.
I've never used he Blogger API - but either it is failing or how Ping.fm uses it is failing.
I’m sad it doesn't work, but really it isn't that big a deal.
-
Inappropriate? We're working on correcting this permanently. The Blogger API is unusable to some degree, but we are working it out.
Tests have proved conclusive, so I'll update this thread when we're done with it.
-
I think there will be more and more folks like ScottR and me over time because the Google Apps thing is pretty cool - so if you need a tester, I'm following you on Twitter, just give a shout there and I'll give it a go. -
Inappropriate?Saw the Twitter update - gave it a try and it appears to be resolved. I can post to a Goolge Account that has the same userid as a Google Apps account now. Thanks Sean!
I’m , as always, pleased as punch with Ping.fm.
