Can we have a setting to NOT shorten links by default?
I understand that butting an *asterisk before a link stops them getting ping-ified, but this is easy to forget. I'd like to turn this feature off by default. A good compromise would be to offer a choice of alternative shortening services, as I like to use Bit.ly or Tweetburner.
Alternatively, you need to make ping-links more fully featured, and include stats and custom keywords, etc.
Small problem, but a big deal for me.

So, do you have any plans to add stats to your short links, ala Bit.ly? It would make Ping more of an all-in-one solution for me.
