Custom posting using XML-RPC or Blogger API?

I'm looking into getting ping.fm to work with dreamwidth.org, which is "like Livejournal but different". It's based on the LJ code but has different access features, so it's not just a LJ clone. I'm guessing ping.fm isn't planning to support DW just yet given that the site's still in beta, but DW does offer an XML-RPC URL and a Blogger API URL. Can I use either of those to make ping.fm work with it as things stand, and if so how?
