Documentation on custom apps
How about documentation on rolling our own? I know we have a API key, but I don't see anything on how to use it. I'd like to be able to update via my terminal console.

Inappropriate? Our next big roll out will include a developer's API. Though, there will be an application approval process for authorized developers.
We will also include "user-level" documentation on how to make your Ping.fm app key into an application interface.
More to come.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I know a thing or two about web APIs, and they are rather simple to build. I even wrote a PHP script that posts to ping.fm without API access and it took me all of five minutes to code. So not to be drab or belittling, but what exactly is taking so long with the third party API? Digging the service, but not the timetable.
I’m probably going to get banned from ping.fm

Inappropriate? You have to consider that we are still in beta. We originally planned to not even start an API until after go-live. But, due to the increasing demand, we've pushed the date on that to as soon as this week.
We've been very punctual with other updates in line, and there are things to do before the API, but it's coming. I promise.

Inappropriate?I'd like to see simple access to post like I do with Twitter now so I can replace with Ping in my Quicksilver activated script and update everything easily !
I’m undecided
