Yeah, for sites like Tumblr and Pownce it will make a nice implementation of those site's other services aside from micro blogging. We're looking forward to releasing these integrations.

Inappropriate?You can attack pictures to your updates by attaching it and sending it to your Ping.fm e-mail address.
You can send MMS messages and we will upload the attached picture as well.

Sean, Does MMS picture uploading still only work for Tumbler and Pownce? I just did a test, and my update got a ping.fm link but it doesn't work, it just sends me to the ping.fm login page or dashboard. -
