Gaelic character accents not appearing correctly

I mainly write in Gaelic which uses the character àèìòù and (and can use áéíóú). However when using Ping to post to my Bebo and Myspace blogs these characters are not appearing correctly, but do appear fine in my MySpace and Bebo status areas as well as on Twitter and Pownce.
