How am I supposed to use spinvox 'normally'?

I use spinvox to take memos all the time, and would love to also use it to tweet, etc. However, once it's associated with my ping.fm account it looks like all it will do is go through this service and I can no longer use it for taking memos (which it emails to me btw).

Am I missing something?
