I can't figure out how to send a text to post to ping.fm.
The front page says that you can post from SMS (text). I can't seem to find any settings to adjust for this or any instructions on how to do it. Is this even a valid claim?
If so, I'd really like to get it up and running.

2As of this writing, Ping.fm does not support SMS text messages for updating your profiles, even though the website says it does.
You can, however, send an MMS [e-mail] from your phone to a special Ping.fm email address, created only for you. You can find that e-mail in your settings area in the Ping.fm settings area.Comment -

do they charge to send an update from a text to ping.fm?-
ping.fm don't charge, your phone company will charge whatever it costs you to send texts
