My Media Japanese text is broken

i posted an image via email to Ping.fm along with a message in Japanese. The Japanese was properly displayed in the email, and the various services that I distribute via Ping (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc...), however, on the "My Media" page, the text associated with the image is mangled. It seems like the Ping.fm media page is not dealing with the charset properly.
