No Ping Status Updates with Vodafone Freedom Packs

Ive tried to post a status update using my vodafone mobile. Everything was running fine till it switched to my so called Freedom back which gives me 300 texts to any mobile phone number. Now, im unable to send updates to ping. Anyone from the UK have any ideas why this is happening and how to get around it?
