Inappropriate?I don't believe it does. You can however send a picture along with a message via email to your ping.fm posting address. -
Inappropriate?I regularly e-mail photos from my iPhone, but I can't seem to get Ping to obey my triggers. No matter where I put them, Ping sends them to everywhere. This is incredibly annoying!

Can you give me an example of the message you are posting? Is it a custom trigger (#trig) or a service trigger (@tr) ? -
I took a snapshot of one of my cats using my iPhone. I selected the image and clicked the "Email Photo" button. When the e-mail form appeared, I selected my Ping.fm e-mail address. The photo is already loaded into the body of the message. I've tried using @pl (or @PL) in the message subject and as the first three characters of the message body (Apple automatically inserts a blank line above the photo).
I have Ping.fm configured to post to Facebook and Plurk. When I send the e-mail to my Ping.fm e-mail address it gets routed to both services regardless of whether I include a single service trigger (generally, to post only to Plurk).
