Working with Condiut to fix some minor issues. Should be working soon. I think is is only an issue with FF3.5 on Windows. -

If by fixed, you mean the same, I just reinstalled and Safari still doesn't like the way it does Javascript.

Are you using any other Conduit toolbars?

I am using the eMusic toolbar (powered by Conduit) but cannot seem to find an option to add the ping.fm toolbar to it. How is this done?

Inappropriate?What does Conduit's browser mod do that a Javascript bookmarklet won't? I'm not too keen on modding my browser, esp. if it's Safari (relying on an InputManager, most likely).

It adds a different degree of functionality to Ping.fm. I'd suggest just trying it at least. ;)

Inappropriate?I'm using Chrome v2.0.172.37 and there are no options for browser selection at http://ping.fm/toolbar/

Pretty sure Chrome isn't supported. Ill look into the HTML bug though.

Inappropriate?ok- i've managed to find the uninstall and deleted everything...
now for some constructive criticism and feedback:
the toolbar on safari {on a new machine running the most up to date everything}-
it sucks big time.
it takes up way way too much space.
the ping button doesn't work.
and there is nothing it is really adding to the experience.
it made safari weird and slow.
and then it was like running two apps- see the picture of my dock:
sorry to be so negative sean & the team, but it sucks on safari.

For those of you who also had problems finding uninstall for Safari on Mac, you'll find it at Applications > Toolbars > Ping.fm > Uninstall

Inappropriate?I have to say, I like the idea. But on I tried it on Firefox 3.0 and 3.5 and it keeps making me login every time I'm away from my computer for a few minutes. Kind of defeats the purpose.

I also noticed that in addition to having to repeatedly log in, I always have to do it twice. Once when ping.fm loads and then once more for the toolbar options to change. Couple of other things. Isn't the Ping Message button supposed to be in the toolbar and not in the dropdown menu? And shouldn't the right click spell checker be working? It underlines misspelled words like it can, but you can't right click anything.

Yeah, I keep finding the toolbar logs me out if I step away from the computer (or don't use Firefox) for a few minutes. It's rather annoying, since the entire reason I want to use the toolbar is so I don't have to go log in to the Ping.fm dashboard every time I want to post an update, but that is what I am doing anyway. Hmmmm....still, I love this toolbar concept! Oh, and like Digital Jedi noted, I too would like a "Ping Message" button option in the toolbar itself, rather than the drop-down.

Ditto - I like the idea of not having to log in to Ping a message, but it takes 2+ tries to login to the toolbar (can't get it to work at all at the moment). Also, it would be nice if it would just log in and not take you to the Ping Dashboard at all. When it works, though, it's great!

Ubuntu 9.04 amd64
FF Addons->Preferences shows different/empty options than the dialog launched via the dropdown on the toolbar. Also, the Addons->Preference dialog doesn't close when OK is clicked, nor does it apply the changes.
Secondly, rather than use a toolbar that takes up real estate, I'd prefer one or more button that can be optionally added to the menu or nav bars. In particular, a button for Pinging a message or link that allows pinging to the pre-configured groups -- Ping Fire isn't compatible w/ FF 3.5.1, and it doesn't show my groups.

Inappropriate?Question: We have installed everything correctly on Ping, but when we ping, it doesn't go to our FB fan page. There are two of us using Ping. When I ping through my account, it goes to our fan page. When she pings from her account, it doesn't go to our fan page. Can two different people Ping the same fb fan page? -
Inappropriate?It's ugly, clunky and doesn't work. Incredible that no method is provided to uninstall... Total fail on this one, I'm afraid.
Just in case someone else is wondering how to uninstall the thing on Safari: go to /Applications/Toolbars and run "uninstall" for the Ping.fm toolbar.

Generally, you would uninstall anything from your Add/Remove Programs list in your Control Panel.

That problem is related to our server migration. We get it for about a minute once a day. It's not related to the toolbar. We are trying to fix it though.
