Ping not posting ANY html to blogs

ping isn't posting any blogs with html to any of my blog services (blogger, myspace, tumblr, etc). it will post plain text blogs, but nothing with html. when i hit "ping it" the post doesn't even register in my queue of sent posts AT ALL, not even a day or two later. nothing. it's rather frustrating, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
