Ping not working with Blogger Account
Trying to login to my blogger account and it keeps saying its wrong, when I can easily go to blogger, sign out, and then sign back in using the same info (which is the same as my google accounts period) and it logs me in) I tried multiple times using different variations of my email and user name with the same password that lets me get into blogger.. Why wont this work?

I'm having the same problem using simonstudio.com@gmail.com or http://www.blogger.com/profile/144618... with a profile registered on ping as simonstudio@alumni.cmu.edu. It worked at first... now there are problems and doesn't allow me to contact blogger at all. Interesting that Wordpress is working perfectly -
Inappropriate?I am having this same issue. When I login it says that it can not find any blogs with my username. I have verified that my username and password do work at blogger.com.

Inappropriate?Greetings. Sadly I am also having this same issue. It;s the only part of Ping that has cause me any issues at all.
I have only just set up the Blogger account, but have verified my details and the Blogger account is not being recognized.
Is there a time limit after setting up a Blogger acount before Ping can confirm the existence of it maybe?
Will try again tomorrow.
Thanks for a great service though, really is a great simple idea.

Inappropriate?A few people are having the same issues it seems. I can't duplicate the problem on my end and neither can the other developers. We need to get some information from you so we can debug this accordingly:
1. What is your Blogger username?
2. Did you sign up through Blogger or Google?
3. When did you set up the blog?
Get me that information so I can do some testing, and I will try more from my end to see if I can duplicate this issue.
Thanks guys!

Inappropriate?IMPORTANT!
If you are using a NEW Blogger account, you MUST validate your e-mail before you can use their remote posting services (Ping.fm).
Try this, and see if it lets you authorize now.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I have had a Blogger account for a long time and when Google bought them I converted my username to my email address.
My username is: jeff [ at ] thebristows [dot] com
I only have 1 blog associated with this account.
I’m confident they will figure this out.

Inappropriate?Go to this page:

Make sure you're using the right user name that's registered to that account. I know you're probably not stupid, I'm just making sure that there's not some cross user name problems occurring -
Inappropriate?Any resolution to this? I redid the authorization code, but it's literally the same process. It's the only method the Blogger API allows, so I'm not sure where the issue is on your end.
I do know that it wont validate if the e-mail address on the account isn't verified, but if you have been using the app for a while, it wouldn't make sense. I'm still doing research on accounts pre-Google, so I'll keep everyone posted on that too.
Thanks guys.

Inappropriate?Sorry for not getting back to you about this.
I had figured it out, got way confused with the sign-up. I obviously created another Google account, different from my main one, which I didnt realise and thus was causing much idiotic confusion in my head as I kept entering the previous 'well used' details and not the new one.
So I still have two Google accounts, one for the Blog and one for everything else. So was nothing to do with Ping.fm in my case.
I do have to say that the whole process of these joining of accounts, openid, singing into Google or Yahoo or whatever to access a totally different site can cause some confusion. In my case anyway.
Just me being daft.
I’m silly
-
Inappropriate?Perhaps this is a common issue. I know I was confused for a while when I made a separate Google account and dealt with the same thing with authentication. I can't find anyone else having the same problem nor can I replicate the issue myself.
I'm on the fence with this one.
I’m indifferent

I signed up through blogger today.

Inappropriate?I'm not getting satisfaction here. Ping.fm people: please support your users.
I’m annoyed

Inappropriate?Yep: reported it here (http://getsatisfaction.com/pingfm/top...) but came over to this topic thinking it was the same thing.
Scott.

Inappropriate?I am still unable to use ping.fm with my blogger account. ( I am unable to even add my account info, ping.fm says I don't have a blog to post to. Even though I do. )
I’m continuing to wait....
-
Inappropriate?Make sure you are using the e-mail format for your username i.e. mybloggerhandle@gmail.com
-
Inappropriate?I am. The username I use to login to my blogger account is jeffbristow [at] thebristows [dot] com
My blogger blog is http://jeffbristow.blogspot.com
The exact message I get on the ping.fm site when attempting to setup my blogger account with ping.fm is:
" It doesn't look like you have any blogs set up on Blogger. Ping.fm can't post to blogs that don't exist! Try creating a blog and then adding your Blogger information again.
http://www.blogger.com/ "
I’m unconcerned
-
Inappropriate?OK - I was having a problem before I was using the email format and just wanted to make sure that wasn't the case.
I think though now that you say that, it may be issue with parsing the non google account (gmail) address.
I know someone that had a similar issue with twitter a few months ago when she tried to register her googletalk account with twitter using a non-gmail addressand it just wouldn't work.
Maybe this information at least may help the ping.fm guys have a new angle on this. -
Inappropriate? That could be a possibility, as to why authentication isn't working completely. And what may complicate this a bit more is that jeff [at] thebristows [dot] com is a google apps email account.
I’m making things complicated.
