plurk not plurking
posted 3 updates this evening and they all made it to twitter and jaiku but none made it over to plurk, though plurk seems up and working just fine directly

Inappropriate?i'm getting this issue too. happened over the weekend so i thought that was just a rare glitch. but then it happened again this morning.

Inappropriate?Looks like it may be a temporary problem with plurk. Two hours ago it had a 100% success rate, over the last hour 50% have timed out. If this problem continues I can increase the timeout for plurk posts.

Inappropriate?If you can determine that they timeout can you add something in to attempt retransmit a few times then give me feedback that it didn't make it to a particular service?
I realize ping.fm is new but I'd suggest those types of things for the future. I'm sure you probably have them roadmapped but if I can't get a warm fuzzy that the services I'm posting to are actually going to make it every time or give me an alert it didnt make it I'm going to have a hard time relying on ping.fm.
I'd like to see some feedback via email perhaps

Inappropriate?This has been brought up a few times.. a timeout doesn't always mean a failed post. It is harder than it seems to determine success or failure.. also, if a service was 100% down, our retries would stack up quick and waste ping resources. we may implement it someday in the future though.

Our plurk posts have had >95% success rate since my last reply here. I did notice plurk put a block for duplicate posts.. so for example, if you send "testing ping.fm" twice in a row, the second one will not work because of plurk's rules. You can also check your "sent pings" to ensure they were expected to go to plurk. http://ping.fm/recent/

first check your sent messages and make sure ping is attempting to send to plurk, it should have the orange plurk icon in the services list.
