Post FROM Drupal TO Ping.fm...how?
I am trying to set up my Drupal site to post content update TO ping.fm. I have 3 people who have the "blogger" role, and I want them to be able to post straight to my ping.fm account. Also, I want to post any new products, or other content to ping.fm. My reasoning?...Our site's content will feed ping.fm the info, and ping.fm will send it out to our Twitter account, Facebook Page, ect.

Inappropriate? There are two ways to do this. You can automate the process using our API found at http://ping.fm/developers
or you could simply use the "Ping this" feature after finishing up your blogs. Even if you use the API for automation, it would be cool to have the "Ping this" option for the readers of the blog. http://ping.fm/ref/help/

Inappropriate?Adam,
Thank you for the reply! I actually found a workaround because I'm not that experienced with building my own "apps" and/or "modules". I am using twitterfeed.com to pull my RSS feed from the website's blog. Twitterfeed then sends my feed to ping.fm which then sends out the appropriate message to Twitter, Facebook Page, etc.
My hope is that the developers of the Ping.fm module (http://drupal.org/project/pingfm) will finish their work soon. It would be the best option on the admin side so that whenever ANY new content is created, we have the option to Ping it.
For now, I will use Twitterfeed for the blogs, and then just manually ping other new content, such as our new Bible study available for purchase, or a new poll, etc. For the end-user, I will definitely use the "Ping this" option so they can share with their friends as well!
Thanks again, and maybe our conversation will help a few others...
I’m thankful
