Privacy Options with Ping.fm and the new My Media
Recently in order to access "My Media" I've had to add a username for my display name to work. Now my images are accessed through an easily remembered URL. The problem now is that all of the services I post to are protected accounts and honestly I would like to continue to keep it that way.
Even though all I see being displayed publicly are the photos and any comments that may have been made, I still don't want them publicly available. I'm unable to find an option to make my Ping.fm media timeline private.
1) Is this an option yet and if so, where would I find it?
2) If it's not an option yet, is it being looked into?
Temporary solution has been to change the username to something unrelated or random.

Inappropriate? The reason I was thinking to sign up with ping.fm in the first place was to update Facebook (bearing my legal name) and Twitter (bearing my internet name) with some of the same status messages. I don't want a public, searchable connection between the two names (well, other than the text of the status messages).
If I cannot have an entirely private profile, or cannot selectively hide the services I am using entirely, or at least my username there, then ping.fm as a whole is completely useless to me.
I've been recommending ping.fm to other people without having used it myself, because it fits their needs. If it's possible to leave one's presence wholly or partially private, then it would fit my needs, otherwise it absolutely will not.
I’m disappointed
