Inappropriate?I've noticed this on there as well. I think it's a Jaiku thing because if you send a message to @someone that is not on your friends list on Jaiku or not a Jaiku user, it doesn't show up.
I will keep testing.

Inappropriate?I never had any trouble with posting to other ppl that i'm not following, prefixing my messages with @USER on jaiku.
I also notice that many of my messages via pingfm dont strip the @m/@s@b so they show up on plurk, twitter, and may be the root cause for not showing up on jaiku ('cause it will try to post to "@m @USER: message").

Inappropriate?If you're posting from the dashboard and select "status" as well as put @s in the message field, it won't be stripped out.
Can you play with it a little and see what odds you come up with?
Let me know of your conclusion and how you duplicate the process.

i posted this: i set the status to jaiku and typed "#testku: testing ping fm"
it appeared here http://jaiku.com/channel/testku/prese...
next i tried to reply to that with "@bugabundo: testing"
this message never came.
next i tried to reply to that with "@jk @bugabundo: testing"
it also never appeared. -

even using @jk MESSAGE it will appear on identi.ca ! VERY strange. i'm using pidgin 2.4.3

I couldn't replicate the non posting issue, but it seems to be like a mysterious encoding problem perhaps. I'm going to trace back your message log and see if I find weird stuff. I'll keep you posted.
