Strip * when not shortening URL's
When adding a * in front of a URL to avoid shortening, it would make some sense for the * to be stripped from the unshortened URL before posting to other services, as it makes no sense out of context.

Inappropriate?The * should be removed. If you have the general setting to shorten links disabled at http://ping.fm/settings/default/ it will not remove the * because you do not have to put it.

Inappropriate?I’m wondering if it’s because the URLs (without the http:// part) are already shorter than 20 characters.
