Great idea for the British folks...but it'd be costly to use that here in North America.

It's because you're used to local or short codes over there. I had to send international SMS to update Twitter so updating to a British number made no difference to me. It's only costing me 10c more per update.

Inappropriate?Can't wait for the SMS gateway since it's, as dzmszn says, the one thing missing from Ping.fm.

Inappropriate?We wont be making a short code. It's too expensive for users to take advantage of. We will be implementing a variety of SMS numbers in the future. When exactly is still up in the air.
