Twitpic / Flickr.....Now PING.FM
Will twitpic and flickr at some point be added to this - ie uploading photos. This might be alot but you seem to have this so very right :) Thank you for this service and will keep you up to date

Inappropriate?I know this might be asking a lot, but is there any chance in the future of said picture management system distributing photos to supported services like facebook, Flickr, myspace, etc...? Do their APIs lack support for this, or is it just plain crazy?

Inappropriate?That's the plan. A central location for posted media, but it also feeds to sites like Flickr, Photobucket, MySpace etc..
It's all about portability.

Hopefully this will include the ability to route to different photo services, or groups of services via @ or * tags. Please include SmugMug if at all possible, they have their own photo client already but they really need support for the microblogs, @DonMacAskill would probably be more than happy to see this happen. -
when you say 'central' do you mean that Ping would store the pictures like twitpic or would a user select 'host/s' and ping would simply push the data there, then use that link to push to the other social networks?

Inappropriate?This will really make your product stand out amidst some of the other social media tools. Right now I'm having to cross-post form a number of places in order to share photos. What's the ETA on this functionality?

as i would like the pic to be uploaded to all the sites at once and not stored of your servers
plus any chance this will happen with videos aswell ?
