Inappropriate?This is a definite plus. A lot of iPhone users are now using Loopt since the 3G model came out.

Inappropriate?Loopt updates are a HUGE plus for me. Especially if Ping.fm starts to incorporate location. This would replace so many items on my iPhone if Ping.fm implemented these features and rolled them into a native iPhone app.

Inappropriate?The thing about this is, what we need is a ping.fm application that runs on mobile phones so that it can have access to GPS data.
An easier (though not better) route would be to petition loopt to add the ability to post updates to ping.fm.
