Why are you using HTTP code 303 for redirects?
Why are you guys using HTTP header code 303 for your redirects instead of HTTP code 301? I don't know if 303 redirects are safe for search engines. (302 isn't)
I like your service so far, but the redirects are keeping me from using it.

Inappropriate?You are right. 301 was supposed to be being sent. We use 303's internally for inside Ping.fm page redirects. URL redirects are now using 301's

Inappropriate?This is listed as over two months old, however, I just had the same issue...
I posted a ping from GoogleTalk, and had a tinyurl.com link in it...
When the link showed up, it had changed to a ping.fm link, which whatever, I could care less, but when pulling the data, it shows it is still using a 303 redirect to get to tinyurl.com, and THEN forwarding on to my own site.

Strange... I just tried your link (http://ping.fm/01nBt) and I got a 301 redirect to tinyurl which did a 301 redirect to the destination.

I wonder why? is it maybe not doing the 301 till it's been in the system for a short bit?

Inappropriate?and now, ping.fm answer with 'HTTP/1.1 200 OK' which is not even a redirect.
and use meta refresh for redirect!?!?
