Inappropriate? We added posting methods over the weekend which designate if the post is a microblog, status, or blog. Facebook does not support microblogging, which is the default method, so your microblogs do not go to facebook. To send a status, use the @s trigger.
By popular demand, we will enable posting microblogs to facebook status as a workaround due to facebook's strange functionality. This should be up by end of day (maybe only a few hours).

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?I set up a custom status trigger to post to Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook, but it is still not posting to Facebook. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Facebook ping.fm app, but that didn't help either. Am I missing something?
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?I didn't have to do anything and indeed, my Facebook status started getting updated again (and Twitter's), but not MySpace's status. They added this pull-down menu above the type-in field that asks you to select if it's a status update or micro-blog or something else; I honestly don't know the difference and feel it just complcates things. If I have to start choosing and making multiple entries, I'll probably go back to just updating twitter and have that update the rest...
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? So now I have to make an extra click or add something to my post just to do the same thing I was doing before? I only use this for twitter and facebook status. Why does it need to default to micro-blog? If I can't change the default to "status" I'll have to find another service to do this.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? At the very least, we need some excellent documentation on which service qualifies as which type of entry and, for those that qualify as two or more, what the differences are within the service.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Right now you can tell by going into the service settings on your ping account (where it has the un/pw for the service), it will show options on the right for which ones you want to use it for.
I have been working on a better display to explain what goes where.
I’m silly
-
Inappropriate?I think I got the hang of it now. Using "status" updates and it's working, and I've updated the services I use to update when I choose that option. The only thing that's still a bit confusing is that while twitter and myspace config pages do have the 'micro-blog' and 'status' checkboxes, facebook's does not. But if I do status updates to facebook, I get what I want, so for now, I'm set... until the next changes to ping come along... :-P
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?Ok, right now I'm using ping.fm for MySpace, Pownce, Twitter (Facebook is then automatically updated by Twitter but that's neither here nor their), and LiveJournal.
The first three have status updates as an option along with either blogging (MySpace) or Micro-blogging (the other two). LiveJournal doesn't have a status update option but does have both Micro-blogging and Blogging.
In list form:
MySpace: Status + Blogging
Pownce: Status + Micro-blog
Twitter: Status + Micro-blog
LiveJournal: Blogging + Micro-blog
Now completely aside from my issue of not wanting to have to remember triggers, it looks like I can not update all 4 places with one post. If I post a status update, it will post to MySpace, Pownce, and Twitter, but not LJ. If I post a Micro-blog, it will update all but MySpace.
Is this a correct interpretation? If so, I'm _not_ a fan...
Thanks.

Inappropriate? All I know is that before, I made one post and it updated all the sites that I had configured. Nice and simple. All I want is for it to work that way again. Thanks.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?I wish Facebook didn't _have_ to be both Microblog and Status. I would like it if it had the two checkboxes like the Twitter option does.
I’m disappointed
