Releases Not Getting Picked Up by Google News.
My releases don't seem to be getting picked up by Google News any more. (I'm Subscribed, but it seems like ever since non-subscribed users were pulled out of the Google Pitchfeed, my releases aren't getting picked up).
To be honest -- it's why I'm a subscriber.
Any clues what could be going wrong?

An update for you:
We have been doing anything and everything possible to get back in Google News for nearly two months. Google has thrown up barrier after barrier along the way, telling us multiple times that we are "going to be up within the next 24 hours" then following with "we need more information from you."
Once they get the "more information" (that they already had from previous communiques), they say, "You should be back up within the next couple of weeks."
Needless to say, we're as frustrated as you are. This is all the result of a window of a few hours in which spammers attacked our site. We reacted swiftly, banning accounts, deleting spam releases and changing policy to prevent the behavior in the future.
But you should also know, that a study of our statistics show that less than 0.02% of our traffic while we were on Google News came from Google News. Your release is *much* more likely to be found with a regular Google search, Facebook post, or tweet on Twitter.
I assure you that we are providing the feed of releases to Google in hopes that they'll fulfill their promise and get us live. The last word from them was that they were watching our stream to make sure it was spam free, and it could be a "few weeks." We are bugging Google on a regular basis to hurry them up with this.
I’m frustrated with Google.

Inappropriate?Due to spammers, there was an issue with Google News. This has been resolved, but it may take a bit of time for releases to show up in the Google News feed.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Christine,
Thanks for responding -- but I don't think that it's just a matter of time. We have releases that have been live for days that are still not showing up in Google News -- even with a very specific search phrase.
Google News seems to be able to pick up news stories from other places within an hour (or less) -- but we're talking about much, much longer here and it doesn't look like Google News is picking up on the releases.
Was the PitchFeed blacklisted? If I search Google News for other articles in the PitchFeed I can't see them either. So it's not just our brands that aren't showing up.
From what I can tell -- PitchFeed doesn't seem to be getting articles onto Google News for anyone... or am I just looking at the wrong releases?
Any info / suggestions would be most appreciated. If you like, I can send you a link to our release for you to take a look at.
Thanks,
Jennifer -
Inappropriate?According to the conversations we've had with Google, it may take a week for the news feeds to be picked up into Google News again.
-
Inappropriate?Hmm... well... does that mean releases made now will never be picked up by Google? Or will Google retroactively pick up the feed?
Should your subscribers hold off on submitting releases if their goal is to be picked up by Google News? -
Inappropriate?(Also, btw.. it looks like all prior PitchEngine releases were also pulled from Google News...)
Ouch.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Ok, well.. it looks like PitchEngine releases are no longer getting through to Google News.
I don't know if this is game over, or if some releases will get picked up by GN in the future -- but it's been a couple weeks now, and Google News seems to be blacklisting PitchEngine.
Any further updates? I can't find anything on the blog, or anywhere else -- and this seems like a major issue.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Jennifer,
It's not game over - Google has decided to bring up a new issue and we are working with them to accept the news feeds again. This is important to us and we know our PitchEngine users like this feature, so we are taking it very seriously and doing our best to work it out with them. -

Inappropriate? What is the status on this issue? I also am very concerned that my releases are essentially being black-listed by Google News.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Any news on this issue? And more importantly, is there any concern that because PitchEngine has been blacklisted by Google News, that using PitchEngine could actually hurt pagerank?
I’m concerned
-
Inappropriate?FYI -- I'm canceling my paid archiving over this issue. It's a deal breaker. I hope you guys fix it some day.
I’m done

C'mon guys!!! Answer this question somehow - any reply is better than silence. It's a big deal and I am inclined to follow suit rather than double my workload by trying to locate other methods to get my clients' news to show up.
