1. Person A should open a story and start editing the description.
2. Person B should now move the story that Person A is editing.
3. Notice that Person A loses the work they did when editing the story, and Person B succeeds.
I was just Person B and I ticked off Person A!
Suggestion: In a case like this, don't let person B move the story. Show them this message: "The story you are trying to move is locked for editing by another user. Please try again in a few minutes."
This isn't that big of a deal but fixing it would make the app more polished.
When someone else is using tracker at the same time as you are, you can see the notification at the top of your screen indicating who made a change. When that notification shows up, if another person has a story open, the open story moves up and down.
Scenario in which this is annoying:
Joe is projecting an open story on the wall, and he is discussing it with a group of developers.
Tom is re-ordering a bunch of stories at the same time.
Joe is annoyed by Tom since he is trying to read the story aloud for the group but it keeps moving around on him.
1. I was moving a series of stories from the backlog to the icebox and then back to the backlog again. (that is how I move stories up or down in a column)
2. Jennifer was editing an unrelated story.
3. A deadlock was shown on her screen. Then she got an error that someone else was editing the same story that she was editing. But that was not true. No one was editing her story.
Do you have enough logs or whatever to diagnose problems like this? Let me know if you need more information.
