Problems saving story description content
Having problems saving description content on stories. Have others had the same problem? I can reproduce very easily.

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.

Inappropriate?Jack,
Can you provide some examples, so that we (Tracker Dev Team) can reproduce/fix the problem?
Mark -
Inappropriate?Take a look at the 'Edit Subscription Record' story in the 'current' area of project 529 (reuters insight). Look at the History on the story. Everytime I try to save the story, there is another event stating that it was saved over with the value "undefined."
Another thing - these stories are way too long and complex. We're getting started with this so the length may come as a surprise.
Thanks, Jack -
Inappropriate? Thanks we will look into the issue..

Inappropriate? It seems like it's happening everytime I expand a story in "current" to view it. I just did it to Generate Payment Record and Create Client User Record in the same project as above. You can see the timestamps in the history.

Inappropriate? It looks like this may be an issue with long descriptions (1000+ characters) on Internet Explorer. Are you using IE?
-
Inappropriate?Yes. IE 6.0 while experiencing the issue.
Jack -
It is an IE specific issue. Its not the length of description that causes the problem, it is when the description contains an html tag (<any>). The issue has been fixed in trunk and will be deployed to production sometime next week. In the meantime you can get around the problem removing all html tags or using Firefox.
If you can, I would recommend moving to Firefox. Tracker performs a bit better in Firefox than IE, especially IE6

Inappropriate?Thanks. Jack
