Pixelpipe Uploadr always "needs [my] permission..." to connect to my Pixelpipe account
Hi. Firstly, I think Pixelpipe is great--so thanks for creating a great service!
Whenever I start the Pixelpipe Uploadr on my WinXP machine, I of course need to sign in. I click the "Sign In" button to do this. Then, I always get a dialog saying, "Pixelpipe needs your permission... ... to connect to your Pixelpipe account..." Clicking OK here then opens up the Service Authorization page on the Pixelpipe website. I then have to go back and click on the big "READY!" button in the Uploadr before I can work with my images.
Shouldn't the authorization granted by the website be cached locally by the Uploadr, or something, so that when I log in, it already knows that I've given the Uploadr permission to access my account?
(PS. when reporting a problem, there is no option to select the Pixelpipe Uploadr)

Inappropriate?New version is now out, according to Brett (in an email sent to me a few minutes ago):

I’m happy

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. I should have mentioned that I'm using the Windows version...
Cheers,

Inappropriate? We've posted the OS X update that supports saved log-in a few hours ago and am just verifying the Windows version now. Should be available soon, keep an eye on 'Pixelpipe' on twitter for the update.

Inappropriate?Brett,
Just had a look at the Windows package at http://apps.pixelpipe.com/Pixelpipe_U..., and the contents don't appear to have changed since 22 July.
Is there any chance of including a version number, either on the Zip filename, or in the uploader executable--that would make it easier to see which version we have or which version we are downloading.
Cheers,
Jon
I’m not able to see updated package...
-
Inappropriate?Ahh, NOW I see the updated package.
I'd stand by my comment that having a version number in the name of the Zip file, or in the executable, would reduce confusion, etc.
Thanks to all 'pipers for the update.
Jon
I’m thankful
