OpenID login to Skitch desktop not working

I am trying to login to Skitch (desktop) via OpenID. I have OpenID URL in the username field and the string of characters and numbers in the password, but it keeps telling me that I have an "Invalid Username/password (1)". What is up with that?

Will Skitch ever have tagging or other categorisation features?

(I put this in the discussion section and I guess that wasn't the best place for it!)

I'm currently using Skitch at work to grab screens off our apps and annotate them for our developers. It'd be handy to be able to organise the screengrabs by app or by purpose as well as through the date organisation.

Dock icon always showing Last reply on July 03, 2008 18:25.

Since the latest update Skitch did always appear on the dock. I had to edit the plist file as described here:

    http://getsatisfaction.com/rescuetime...

This made the dock icon disappear, but there is another annoying issue. I am always asked whether I *really* want to open that program on launch, as it was downloaded from the internet. That message should only show once, not always.

Automatically copy shared URL to clipboard

As soon as I "WebPost" an item, I frequently want to immediately share that URL with someone.

The workflow I have now is to click "Share" to load the URL in the browser, and then copy the URL to the clipboard and paste it in an IM window or such.

If it were possible to have the WebPost'ed URL automatically put on the clipboard after sharing, that'd rock!!

webshare to evernote Last reply on June 24, 2008 14:46.

It'd be great to webshare to evernote in the same way that I can share to flickr or myskitch.com

    Right click on paint erases

Similar to how holding control when painting uses the eraser, right clicking should similarly erase, or possibly let you draw in a different color. Most other drawing programs have this, so I don't see why not.

Why the horrible dancing banner advertisements on my skitch upload page?! Last reply on June 24, 2008 05:28.

Wow, I love Skitch, but I can't think of a worse advertiser to be placing banners on a cool product's website.

Maybe you can use one of the higher-brow web advertising networks, instead of whoever it is that's selling these terrible, flashing, animated M$ Windows lookalike banners. Yuck.

    OMG, SKITCH! NOOO

Skitch refuses to open. Last reply on June 22, 2008 05:10.

Skitch refuses to open for me. It won't open on startup or when I open it directly. I'm running a PowerBook (PPC) with the most recent Apple updates. I really enjoy Skitch and this makes me sad.

Webpost to Flickr fails with error message about checking "directory" setting

I added a flickr account to my webposting settings. However, when I attempt to send a screen shot to flickr, it fails with this error message.

There was a problem when Skitch tried to upload the file to the server.
    Please check your "directory" setting

As far as I can tell, I have no "directory" setting. I can webpost to .Mac and Skitch.com just fine. Thanks for any help.

Skitch - One feature I would love to see Last reply on August 23, 2007 20:03.

Skitch is already an amazing app, I love it.

One thing that would make it even more killer is the ability to do a screenshot within a scrolling region. For example, to capture an entire web page.

SnagIt on Windows does this and it's exceptionally useful--unfortunately, nothing on Mac does it as nicely.

It would be a nice addition to Skitch's already awesome feature set!

Why does Skitch always take snapshots of itself? Last reply on June 03, 2008 20:16.

Whenever the Skitch window is open on my page, and I attempt to take a new screenshot, if the selected area is anywhere over the Skitch box (even if the Skitch box is behind several other windows in the background) I get a snapshot of the open Skitch box instead of whatever i was trying to capture.

I can solve the problem by closing the Skitch window and redoing the screen capture, but I'd prefer to avoid this problem in the first place. Why does it happen? How can i avoid it? Is it a bug in the product or something else?

Does SFTP support SSH public/private hey as authentication?

I want to use SFTP uploading in Skitch, but it seems to demand a password instead of supporting SSH keys (public/private). Is this planned in a later release, or can I make it happen somehow?

How can I put two images into a Skitch file? Last reply on May 28, 2008 18:19.

I have a question about using more than one image for Skitch. I know that it's supposed to be a screen-shot thing, but lately I've been using it to make graphics as well. My question is how do I put two images into a Skitch document, if you will? Right now, if I drag image A into the image I'm currently working on, image B disappears and image A takes over. How do I fix this?

Skitch is crashing on me when I try to upload to mySkitch! Last reply on May 27, 2008 11:15.

It's telling me there is a server error. I click okay, then the app crashes. I reload, then repeat. Also, it now seems to be having an impossible time checking for updates. Is there a server outage on your end that would be causing this?
