everytime I launch Skitch it just bounces in the dock for a minute and then unexpectedly quits with an error. it has not worked in over a month. i tried reinstalling and deleting preferences, etc. any ideas? i really miss having it!
I am trying to login to Skitch (desktop) via OpenID. I have OpenID URL in the username field and the string of characters and numbers in the password, but it keeps telling me that I have an "Invalid Username/password (1)". What is up with that?
I thought I read that Plasq was planning to update Skitch with a version that would work with proxies. I don't know if this was meant to happen in the background, or allow users to input manual proxy settings. I love Skitch, and many coworkers would use it I am sure, if we could get the webpost settings to work in our office.
Jing Project, for example, works. So we are forced to stick with that for now. It's a nice app, but please consider updating Skitch so we can use your lovely app from behind a proxy!
Is there a way to make Skitch work from behind a proxy now?
Thank you
This made the dock icon disappear, but there is another annoying issue. I am always asked whether I *really* want to open that program on launch, as it was downloaded from the internet. That message should only show once, not always.
Skitch refuses to open for me. It won't open on startup or when I open it directly. I'm running a PowerBook (PPC) with the most recent Apple updates. I really enjoy Skitch and this makes me sad.
Today some people that commented one of my images asked me how to stop receiving e-mails from skitch, notifying about new comments.
I told them that should be a link to unsubscribe on the e-mail received, but this isn't true. They just have a little text, with a link to the page.
This is a huge problem. They SHOULD be able to unsubscribe.
Whenever the Skitch window is open on my page, and I attempt to take a new screenshot, if the selected area is anywhere over the Skitch box (even if the Skitch box is behind several other windows in the background) I get a snapshot of the open Skitch box instead of whatever i was trying to capture.
I can solve the problem by closing the Skitch window and redoing the screen capture, but I'd prefer to avoid this problem in the first place. Why does it happen? How can i avoid it? Is it a bug in the product or something else?
It's telling me there is a server error. I click okay, then the app crashes. I reload, then repeat. Also, it now seems to be having an impossible time checking for updates. Is there a server outage on your end that would be causing this?
I can't upload to flickr today. It used to work, like yesterday. Also, the rest of the internet works perfectly fine! I haven't changed any settings in Skitch or in Flickr.
When you enter something in the "Send to Twitter" box on skitch.com and then change the privacy setting, the Twitter box gets closed. It doesn't clear out what was written in the box, thankfully (the text is still there when you click "Send to Twitter" again), so this is only a minor annoyance.
