We'd love to know what you 'always' and 'never' do with Skitch
For example, you may 'always share my own LOLcats by drag into iChat sessions'
'I never use the Photo button, I always snap from iPhoto'
What do you 'always' and 'never' do?
Do you always do something because you love it, or just find it handy?
Do you 'never' do something because you forget about it, or because you hate using it?
I'm unable to recover my password for a user, no username/email present in the DB says the recovery-message... but puleddu is present in the DB because if I try to start from scratch it says that username puleddu is 'Unavailable'. I cannot remember the subscription mail. Any help?
Does anyone else have the last version, and have any issues with it? When I take a snapshot there is a serious lag going on... everything happens in slow-mo and it is painful. No problems with any version prior to this, and this issue is enough to make me go back to SnapzProX. Any advice?
After upgrading to the latest version, I'm having tons of problems with Skitch. It crashes my Dock and hides some of the application windows. I have reasons to believe it has something to do with Spaces.
I think the source of the problem is having Skitch "Show on all Spaces" and trying to drag Skitch window from one space to another, by taking it to the edge of the screen.
Anyway, I've disabled the "Show on all Spaces" and it seems to be OK for now.
I downloaded Skitch just a week ago and instantly fell in love with it. So it was awfully off-putting to be told today that it's expired and I need to download a new version.
Yes, I know the terms of service say Skitch can do this. But I'm on a very limited broadband plan -- I regularly surf with images turned off to save bandwidth -- so it's hard to justify that bandwidth to myself no matter how much I adore it. Especially when I don't know what the file size will be so can't work out whether I've got enough bandwidth spare in this billing period!
I'm particularly reluctant to upgrade when I don't know how often I'll have to upgrade in future. On the other hand I might be really excited about upgrading if I knew what new features the new version has, but I can't find a thing about it even on the blog.
The other thing is that... well, with Skype there was a time when the newest version gave me serious compatibility problems. But it was easy enough with them to track down an older version and reinstall that, and I kept praising Skype to the heavens. If there hadn't been an older version available, I'd have been completely stuck -- and would have complained to everyone in hearing. So by forcing us to upgrade, it seems like you're putting all your eggs in one basket and burning your bridges behind you.
Anyway, if the upgrade's worth while and I won't have to do it too often then I'll get it, because I really do like the program. But I'd much rather know something about it before I do, and I'd *much* rather have been given the choice of when to do it.
When ever I capture an image via the crosshair, the image I receive seems to have "missed". For example, if I capture a button, I get the top half of the button and the text above it. If I capture an icon, I get the top half. It is almost like skitch is mis-calibrated. Any hints?
for me each snap ends up on its own. it would be great if i could take one snap and then past a 2nd one smaller on top of the first one. or arrage a couple of snaps to a collage! is this possible?
I love Skitch, but I've had to stop using it -- it now seems pretty conclusive that it prevent my Mac from waking from sleep properly. This happened on Tiger and I assumed it was some deeply-rooted system misconfiguration. But a clean install on Leopard saw the problem recur. I started eliminating always-open programs and it's pretty clear: Skitch is to blame. I could live with the runaway memory usage, but having to close and reopen my machine several times, or wait five minutes with the eject button held down -- that's too much. I hope you guys are able to track this down so that I can start using Skitch again.
When using the window-snap (click on the window and it snaps a shot of the window), the corners of the window seem cut off (or sharp). Take a look at this Finder window:
They're really sharp, but Finder windows have curved edges, of course. If I manually drag-and-snap, the corners are curved, as they should be:
This problem only occurs when I have the background set to "Transparent", instead of "Desktop Picture / Wallpaper," in the Skitch preferences.
I have uploaded images using Webpost but can't seem to copy the links next to it to link to it or embed on other sites. They say they have copied but when I paste, it hasn't copied. I am on a Mac with Firefox 3. I have just upgraded to Flash 10 which I think is the problem.
Skitch always takes a little while to respond after I haven't used it for a while. I acknowledge that it's not alone - all LSUIElement applications that live as system status items seem to be a little slow off the mark (including my own - Hyperspaces), however I wonder if it's just me?
Is anyone else seeing really slow responses when activating skitch? This happens whenever the machine has a couple of apps open - not under heavy load. I'm running on a 2.5Ghz MacBook Pro (Santa Rosa Series) with 2Gb RAM and a 7200 rpm drive.
Has anyone found a way to embed the Skitch application onto websites like in a social networking site? Or has anyone found similar web applications to what Skitch provides?
