I cannot get a picture from my iCam. The green light comes on and I get the countdown and sound acknowledgement but nothing appears in the Skitch window.
When snapping a window (click snap then click on a window), with drawer attached, it only takes main window into account. When I click on the drawer, it only snaps the drawer.
Is there anyway to snap both the drawer and the window with a click?
I never received the sign up verification email. I can't log in, and I don't want to try to create anther account and loose my first choice username. can the verification email be resent?
for me each snap ends up on its own. it would be great if i could take one snap and then past a 2nd one smaller on top of the first one. or arrage a couple of snaps to a collage! is this possible?
I'm trying to configure skitch to use webdav. However, my server is https only (the httpd vhost redirects to the https vhost).
It doesn't look like the Server: field can take anything but a hostname. If I use the servername itself - it will try to post fine (I can see hits in the webserver logs) - but the post fails because it's getting the 302 redirect back.
If I try to use https://hostname or davs://hostname or webdavs://hostname in the server field - no luck - doesn't generate a hit to the website (I didn't break out wireshark or anything to see if something is put on the wire at all, I'm guessing no and that the server: field just looks invalid on top of whatever http library you use)
Okay, long preamble - can I use https with a WebDAV configuration in Skitch? If so, how? :-D
Japanese text posted via email to Skitch from iPhone often garbles.
It seems that the encoding of email body is applied to the subject too, no matter what encoding is used for the subject.
For example, when only ASCII text is there in body, the body is marked charset=us-ascii (in iPhone case). On the other hand the subject is encoded in iso-2022-jp for Japanese.
(ISO-2022-JP is the default Japanese email encoding of most email clients, including iPhone.)
Y'all are amazing!!!!!!!! This is the best app I've ever seen whether on a Mac or Windows! (I'm a cross-platformer). I love the fact that you provided us with an image hosting site, haha, kinda like flickr and MSPaint (except a lot better) in one bundle!! WHOOOOOOO!! Go plasq!!
Somehow since yesterday, the url will no longer get copied to the clipboard from the web-page of the image upload. I am on a mac 10.5.5, FF3. This wasn't a problem before and I have not updated anything?
I have uploaded images using Webpost but can't seem to copy the links next to it to link to it or embed on other sites. They say they have copied but when I paste, it hasn't copied. I am on a Mac with Firefox 3. I have just upgraded to Flash 10 which I think is the problem.
Skitch was working great (a solid Mac solution for a PC user used to using SnagIt). Then it stopped loading. I reinstalled the version from skitch.com (got a warning about the skitch.com site being older(?) but did it anyway).
Skitch still doesn't work on my MacBook Pro running 10.4.something_new.
A search reveals others have had this (or a similar) problem for over 6 months. Any news?
I think it would be great if the webpost feature had an option to post a thumbnail with a link to the page from which the thumb was taken.
For example, I might create a thumbnail from a portion of an image on a page, and stick that thumbnail in a blog with a link to the original page.
Because I love Skitch so much, I now have 1,669 images in my Pictures/Skitch directory.
My prob/sugges/olution has two parts:
1. for various reasons, i need to move the Skitch directory out of my Pictures folder (mainly, because I'm moving my local file store into Dropbox and I want my skitches with me). Can Skitch please consider adding a preferences setting to specify the location of the local Skitch directory? Since most people probably don't need this ability, some kind of geeky, "edit this plist" response would be fine.
2. Due to non-stellar OS X performance on directories with thousands of files, could Skitch please consider implementing a simple subdirectory-by-date policy inside the local Skitch directlry, so the Skitch archive is quickly navigable in the filesystem? I realize this is a total obscure nerd request, but my gut it could provice a teeny bit of value to power-users, in terms of speed, and would do no harm.
Thanks for making an awesome product that I use daily.
I am trying to login to Skitch (desktop) via OpenID. I have OpenID URL in the username field and the string of characters and numbers in the password, but it keeps telling me that I have an "Invalid Username/password (1)". What is up with that?
