Automatically copy shared URL to clipboard
As soon as I "WebPost" an item, I frequently want to immediately share that URL with someone.
The workflow I have now is to click "Share" to load the URL in the browser, and then copy the URL to the clipboard and paste it in an IM window or such.
If it were possible to have the WebPost'ed URL automatically put on the clipboard after sharing, that'd rock!!

The best point from everyone

The two most prevalent workflows for me is to paste the URL into either a help/bug ticket or in IRC/IM. In none of those cases do I actually NEED to open up the image's Skitch page. Copy to clipboard would indeed be wonderful as a default choice.
LOVE Skitch, by the way.

Inappropriate?agreed -- it'd be nice to be able to have minimalist workflow settings so you could literally just do you keyboard shortcut for a screenshot and instantly have a url in the clipboard. that's what makes grabup so appealing even though it has fewer features than skitch... the point of having ftp/flickr settings is to save time, by the time you click 'share' ... wait ... 'copy link' ... hide skitch -- you could have manually uploaded the photo by then.

Inappropriate?Dude, this is the one thing that drives me batty. I guess because I'm used to Jing or Grabup... it should at least be a default option. I click once.... hover over it until it turns green, then click again to my clipboard. It should just go there and notify me when it's there. (with a popup/growl/sound/etc)
I’m frustrated

+1. -
Inappropriate?Actually: if you set up an FTP server somewhere and upload to that instead of to skitch.com, you're all set.
I’m happy

Good point, but then you don't have the commenting. Of course, you *could* always set up a system on your own server, but then you wouldn't have image commenting without a lot more work. I wish Skitch.com would just add this as a preference. -
I'm not sure exactly who you're talking to? The stated issue is that the url doesn't go directly to the clipboard. This issue is there regardless of if you use FTP or Skitch.com to host you image. I think it should work the exact same as it does now, but where you just don't have to click the button once to upload, and again to copy the url. -
aggiejy: If you upload via FTP, you get a "Copy Link" button instead of a button to visit the image. With Skitch.com, you *have* to visit Skitch.com to get the url. I admit, I didn't see the part about automatically copying it — that'd be nice too. Sorry about my skim-reading. :P -
Inappropriate? Thanks everyone for the feedback. Duly noted. We're working on further streamlining the sharing process.
