Skitch refuses to open.
Skitch refuses to open for me. It won't open on startup or when I open it directly. I'm running a PowerBook (PPC) with the most recent Apple updates. I really enjoy Skitch and this makes me sad.

Could you please try removing Skitch from Login items and then restart your Mac...?
Apple icon > System Preferences... > Accounts > Login Items > and uncheck Skitch. Then Restart your Mac.

Inappropriate?I'm having this problem too. Also with another app (twitterific). I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I just had to change my password for work and updated my keychain password as well. -

Inappropriate?ericskiff - interesting. I suspect it has something to do with apps that live only in the menu bar (though my google notifiers seem to be working fine).
I moved skitch.app to the trash and reinstalled from scratch. It crashed a couple times on startup but it appears to be running now.
No such luck with twitterific.

Inappropriate?I spoke too soon - I got skitch to run but the "drag to desktop" feature wasn't working. Now when I quit and try to restart it doesn't work.

I'm having the same problem. Had it a couple of days ago, so I found this page and tried the Login Items solution--and it worked. However, here I am a couple of days later, having the same problem, and now that solution is no longer an option as Skitch is already unchecked in my Login Items. Help? :( -

Inappropriate?Whoops, it worked for a while and now suddenly it's not working again.

Inappropriate?BarelyFitz - it stopped working for me again too, but this time I completely removed it from my login items (before I'd just unchecked the "hide" box, this time I hit the little minus).
Now it seems to be all good, and interestingly this fix cleared up my problems with twitterrific as well, which I'm extremely happy about!
