Inappropriate?Hi pawlik,
Sorry about this, we're looking into this. The workaround is to go to Preferences>Settings>Snapping and set Skitch to use a background which is white or transparent, (as opposed to the desktop background). -
Inappropriate?Changing background setting doesn't work. I have always transparent background
-
does work for me (Skitch 1.0b8.3 v2473). -
Inappropriate?Thanks rurza—we'll have a fix asap for this—sorry.

Inappropriate?i installed the new snow leopard fix update, and im still having problems. no background. :(
I’m sad.

Inappropriate?i can't get a transparent background :( i always loved having that option but now it only gives me the desktop image even if i already set it to use a transparent background.. i just updated to 10.6.2.. hope there'd be a fix :) i love skitch so much!
I’m worried.

Inappropriate?re: transparent background
..using .png seems to fix things now... with .jpg though, still the same prob even with latest update installed -
er, why are you expecting transparency from a .jpg? that isn't possible :) -

Inappropriate? In the past had been able "add shadow to image" and then upload as a JPG. It would make the background white, not transparent. This was extremely useful and part of my workflow. I'll resort to using PNG format while I look for something to replace skitch... which I hate to do!
I’m frustrated
-
Wait, you can do that! Settings | Snapping | Add shadow & Background = white -
Inappropriate? Thanks for quick reply. Wish it were that easy.
I'd tried that. The shadow looks like this as a jpg:

It used to look this this whether a jpg or png (same image, uploaded as png):

Again, thanks for the quick reply. I really do wish this works. Skitch had been such a great tool.
I’m frustrated
