stopped dragging
Have used Skitch for a while but the drag feature has stopped working, it will not drag a snapped image to iPhoto, mail e.t.c or any of the apps it used to.
On OSX 10.4.11 and nothing I'm aware of has changed and it gives an error warning saying "unreadable files 0" in iPhoto or nothing when I drag into Mail
Snaps, saves and recalls the image OK.
I'd be grateful for any solutions
Many thanks

Inappropriate?I have the exact question above. Skitch has suddenly stopped dropping images when I attempt to drag and drop. I'm on OSX 10.4.11, as well, and have been using Skitch with no problem for almost a year.
When i grab and drag the "drag me" tab for an image, I get the "ghostbusters" graphic over the area I'm trying to drop to. Doesn't matter where (desktop, file folder). When i release the mouse button to drop the image--it snaps back to the skitch window without exporting.
My version of Skitch is the latest - and I have tried deleting and reinstalling, to no good effect.
10 days without an answer to the above question worries me too--I'm in the middle of a project and need help fast.
Thanks in advance to anyone!
-- btw, don't know if this will help with analysis but Skitch is also now crashing occasionally when I change the export file format (from .jpg to .png, or .png to .skitch, etc.). Doesn't happen consistently, but it's happening. This has never happened before.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Well it would appear that Skitch employees are no longer monitoring this support forum.
It would also appear that Skitch no longer runs on older machines... system requirements now say you must have OSX 10.4.6 or later to use Skitch.
Now I only wish I hadn't updated. If anyone has a link to an old version of Skitch, that would be great.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Kramy @exactabob is me btw! ...I'm on a Powerbook PPC G4 OSX 10.4.11, 1.25 GB SDRAM
i've been running Skitch without a hitch :) for like a year ...until this week. :(
if you've got a suggestion (or an old Skitch .dmg so i can get my work done) it would be great!
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Hi Bob. Sorry for not answering sooner :(
Skitch has always required 10.4.6 or later. And you have 10.4.11 which is fine.
The first user above fixed their problems by repairing permissions using Disk Utility. Please note how to do that here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417
The previous version of Skitch has now timed out - the only working version now is the one that you have downloaded.
Please try repairing permissions and let me know how you go.
Good luck!
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Kramy! You nailed it - Skitch is working again now that I've repaired file permissions (never heard of doing that before).
You just saved me an *incredible* amount of extra work.
Thanks once again - customer for life! (if you guys would only take money!)
I’m thankful
