I'm constantly uploading things from Skitch & find it really handy.
What I'd find really useful would be once you've clicked 'webpost to Flickr' the Skitch window flips around to show a 'Flickr info/organise window' where you could add tags, add to an existing set/collection, description, groups etc. (Kinda like the FlickrExport iPhoto plug-in but for Skitch).
Also an option to alter the tag Skitch automatically adds (I just want it to say skitch in lowercase :) ).
I tried to use Skitch to make some marks and notes on a screenshot of a full webpage (so, a very tall image), but it's impossible to scroll the image to the bottom to make my notes there while leaving the image on 100% zoom.
Any ideas on using Skitch for general image annotations? (Or maybe another software?)
I'm using a merchant account at PayPal, which lets me put a custom logo at the top of the page. It recommends using an https (SSL) site. So I use the direct Skitch.com URL, but replace http with https.
Works fine in Safari, but Firefox 3 doesn't display the content. I clicked through some sort of message about how there was an invalid SSL certificate at img.skitch.com. Anybody got any ideas what's going on? Thanks!
Many times, I have been capturing lots of screenshots, documenting a long procedure. Sometimes, I forget to save one of the shots right in the middle, so I have to start over. How can I make Skitch automatically save to the history every time I take a screenshot?
SFTP is failing, it says "The server refused Skitch connection". But I tried sftp with those credentials, and uploaded files just fine. On the server, I see an ssh session opened, but no upload happens. Is there a console log for Skitch that can spit more error info? Thx
I used skitch to notify bug on projet I work on ! Actually all the printscreen are over the similar directory, so it's all mixed and hard to find printscreen from a dedicated project.
Is Skitch Peer to Peer? What open IP ports does it require. The reason I ask is our firewall is blocking it, and I'm reluctant to open up full internet access to it because of the following P2P friendly clause in the T&C's
5. Access to and Use of Your Computational Facilities.

I thought I read that Plasq was planning to update Skitch with a version that would work with proxies. I don't know if this was meant to happen in the background, or allow users to input manual proxy settings. I love Skitch, and many coworkers would use it I am sure, if we could get the webpost settings to work in our office.
Jing Project, for example, works. So we are forced to stick with that for now. It's a nice app, but please consider updating Skitch so we can use your lovely app from behind a proxy!
Is there a way to make Skitch work from behind a proxy now?
Thank you
I am trying to login to Skitch (desktop) via OpenID. I have OpenID URL in the username field and the string of characters and numbers in the password, but it keeps telling me that I have an "Invalid Username/password (1)". What is up with that?
I have an account that I use only for personal stuff (acct. 1) that I've been using for months. Recently I created another account (acct 2) because I needed it to share info with business associates. The accounts have separate names, separate email addresses, and separate passwords.
The problem is that now, when I try to log in to my personal account (1), the other one comes up. I've tried resetting Safari (clearing cache, history, cookies, etc), rebooting the computer, etc., and nothing has worked. I'm assuming it's using IP addresses, but if I log in with separate account info, it should take that....lots of people share computers. I talked to a couple of friends who use multiple Skitch accounts on the same computer, and they don't have issues.
Similar to how holding control when painting uses the eraser, right clicking should similarly erase, or possibly let you draw in a different color. Most other drawing programs have this, so I don't see why not.
