Default welcome screen should show "Contacts & you". The paradigm of Plazes is to join to your friends' plans, not to check your own plans.

We actually had for a while the default view Contacts & You, which is, as you say, the most interesting way to look at Plazes.com.
Unfortunately we had to switch to the You-view to improve the performance of the site.
We are anyway working to find a different solution and provide the best user experience.
