"share with my network" button
It's great when someone in your network shares a new tool or link. However, my friends can't see it unless they are also friends of the original poster, even if I respond to it.
On Twitter, we might re-tweet something, which results in the same message being seen over and over (and over.) Its even MORE annoying on Plurk, because some people respond in the original Plurk, while others replurk. And something might end up all over the timeline (like during the Presidential debates...)
Right now, we try to plurk a pointer to the original plurk on the original plurk page. "Hey come to this plurk and join in: is.gd/whatever"
What we would like to see is a button near the mute button or on the share page that allows you to "share with my network." This would make PlurkerA's plurk show up as if I plurked it myself - "Vdub144 RESHARES Amix LOVES this new video on youtube is.gd/whatever" and ties it back to the original plurk.
I hope I'm stating this right. But at least this way if you don't follow the original poster, you will see the plurk, and if you DID follow the original Plurk, it won't show up.
Could something like this be added?

Inappropriate?Dan
This is a great idea. Maybe they will also take the bookmark idea and along with the share button
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Good idea. An additional thought: would it be possible to add another tag (like SAYS, WISHES, ASKS, etc) which will be QUOTES - this will allow one to post a quote, without having to add the fact that this is a quote in the body of the plurk.

Inappropriate?I think this link could help you temporarily

Inappropriate?I like how the URL specification of plurk content turns into a whole feature... ability to bookmark common plurk prefix phrases. Now to just write them as an actual bookmarklet so we don't have to load new pages to use them. GreaseMonkey possibilities sound promising.
It's kinda adding "custom verbs" to the list... sorta... kinda. -
Inappropriate?OK, I'm a little lost. I don't understand @doggie's links. Maybe we're talking different things here?
If I read a plurk that says something that I want to share with my friends, right now I would have to replurk that message as a NEW message. If I simply respond within the Plurk, only those who also follow the same person see it.
I would like to REPLURK without starting a new message/thread. I don't want EVERY plurk I respond to, to show up in my timeline, only certain ones that I think have high interest. Sort of like voting up an idea in Digg I suppose.
I’m excited

I think Doggie was directing the response to Kobus's request for adding "quotes" to the verbs. You could just bookmark this URL and it would pre-fill that part of the plurk for you:
http://www.plurk.com/?status=quotes%2...
At least, that was my read. -
Inappropriate? So this hasn't gone anywhere in about 3 weeks. No discussion or anything. Today is a good example where I see people replurking a Google Forms spreadsheet link asking for educators who are plurking to help build a "phonebook." But to reach everyone, it has to be replurked by multiple people in order to reach everyone. Makes for a LOT of extra unneeded traffic.
This is the kind of post I wish I could elevate to "share with my network" if I could. It would keep my timeline from being full of the same post over, and over, and over...
