Are they following me (fan status), or not?
I received an alert this morning that somebody had made me their fan and requesting friend status. Not knowing them, I decided to simply reciprocate by making them a fan of me. But when I went to their profile page afterwards, it said that they can't have fans because of their privacy settings. So, are they following me or not?

Inappropriate?Their privacy does not affect if they can fan your or not.
I.e. they will become your fans no matter what their privacy settings are.

Inappropriate?Amir: that's nice for them that they can follow my timeline, but it's pretty creepy if you're letting them do that without disclosing it on their profile page ... if somebody is following me, I ought to be able to know it. -
