Improving Search Functionality in General
Please oh please!
Many have cited numerous problems with search. It takes time for the indexes to update it seems and plurks do not become searchable until this happens (A couple days!?). But my biggest gripe/request:
PLEASE INDEX THE RESPONSES TOO! Most of the time I'm searching out a plurk due to a conversation that occurred, and my keywords are not in the main plurk itself, nor do I often have any clue what the main plurk topic was.
Anything you can do to improve the usefulness of timeline search would be much appreciated. This is not intended as an insult to your skills, but almost all my contacts agree it is essentially worthless right now.
The upshot is most requests to "bookmark" or "fav" plurks might vanish if we got a search that really worked as expected.
Thinking ahead...some advanced searching might be nice too. One suggestion: narrow a search based on responses/conversation participants (selected from your friends). Or just add some boolean stuff so we can include a plurk username or two plus some query string (assuming they get indexed too).

Inappropriate?Once it's nice and functional, I dig this feature request too:

Inappropriate?trust me, we hear you :).
One (or two) of our devs are actually actively working on this right now.

Inappropriate?See also, a search scope qualifier idea corresponding to the named tabs, posted in this idea thread:

I’m excited

Hmm... it broke that URL for some reason, again:

Inappropriate? Also a random thought. I'm quite used to the "timeline" presentation of a list of items by now. Why are search results done vertically and not in standard timeline format? Perhaps in a search result tab of it's own?

yeah, having search results in timeline format would be much nicer.
