Karma 12-hour change not working correctly?
Plurk Karma change to 12 hours seems to have changed behavior making negative penalties happen more frequently.
I plurked 9 hours apart, had responses in between that period, lost no friends or fans (even gained one fan), but still had a -.05 penalty.

Inappropriate?Hi skraggy
When you say "plurked" did you actually plurk or only respond? Did you plurk privately or to the public?
I need this info for debugging.

I plurked (created my own thread) publically 9 hours apart. I had at least a couple responses to my plurks in that time period as well. I plurked at 11:06pm CDT, and again at 8:15am CDT. This was this morning. When I reported the problem, my karma was reporting a negative change. -
Just to clarify, as well, my Plurk userid is skraggy as well. http://www.plurk.com/skraggy -
Inappropriate?Likewise. I went less than 6 hours between plurks—and didn't miss plurking during any karma updates—and my karma dropped 0.05. I can confirm that I lost no friends or fans, nor did anyone reject a friend request from me, during that period. Here's my karma graph: http://is.gd/swW The drop occurred at 12:05 PM on 9/13 on the graph (5:05 AM in the Pacific time zone) even though I had plurked at 2:44 AM Pacific time. Here are the karma periods surrounding the drop:
5:05 PM - 9:05 PM Pacific
- I plurked at 5:57 PM Pacific
9:05 PM - 1:05 AM Pacific
- I plurked at 9:07 PM Pacific
1:05 AM - 5:05 AM Pacific
- I plurked at 2:44 AM Pacific
5:05 AM - 9:05 AM Pacific
- I plurked at 8:42 AM Pacific
I didn't miss a single update period and I still got punished! Here's my timeline if you want to verify: http://www.plurk.com/user/theJoshMeister
Edit: All of those plurks were public, not private. They were actual plurks, not responses.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?A bug has been fixed with data calculations and it's now deployed.
Hopefully it's going to fix this problem.

thanks Amir! -
Definitely is working. Thanks again, Amir! -
Inappropriate?... and let me just add this because I'm a bit annoyed. As someone who is quite popular on Plurk, I do my best to keep Plurk interesting and fun. I really am upset that amix blocked me because I asked a question which may not have been relevant to his Plurk topic yesterday. I apologize if Plurk feels it's spamming. It was technical and just asked on a whim. Nuf said.
I’m a little put off.

Inappropriate?Arrr! 5 days and no response from Plurk people. Arrr! It's international "talk like a pirate day." Someone gonna need to walk the plank. Arrr!
I’m a pirate!

Inappropriate? It looks like this is working... my karma score has been more consistent over the last 4 days. Yaaaar!
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Re-phrasing... um... thanks for unblocking me Amir and sorry for the inappropriate response in your Plurk. But the outstanding issue of my Karma loss due to the algorithm is still unresolved. No pressure ;)
Oh... and I discovered an issue this morning. You may want to take out the selectable descriptor tags in the Hebrew language. They can really screw up the time line if selected. I know. I found out while experimenting... then promptly deleted my Plurk after people started protesting.
I’m hoping...
